We’ve had a wonderful day in the great outdoors today at Ramsbury Estate – it was a little bit hot, but we found plenty of shade and drank lots of water!
KS1 had a fab morning exploring woodlands and making wildflower art – they found trees engraved during WWII and all sorts of wonderful creatures living in the trees. Years 3&4 practised their map reading skills on a treasure hunt and were most impressed that they didn’t get lost! Years 5&6 headed out on an expedition to find water…. and water they found as you can see from the pictures!
In the afternoon, the whole school met up to take part in activities led by different teachers. We had sketching, fossil hunting, butterfly and bug catching, stories and a huge game of hide and seek!
This day is fast becoming a St Michael’s tradition and we are so grateful to Ramsbury Estate and all the volunteers who come with us to make it happen.
Here’s to next year!
