Year 5 and 6 were very lucky to spend time with Simon Knighton, finding out about what it takes to be a successful explorer! Simon discussed the different mountains he has climbed on various continents across the world before giving us an in-depth talk about his Everest expedition. We found out about the meticulous planning and organisation needed, the variety of equipment used and the psychological impact of such a challenge. It was a really inspirational morning as part of our current topic question: does adversity make us stronger?
