In English this term, we have been exploring the book, ‘The Borrowers’. We began by reading the opening pages of the book before creating miniature pieces of furniture that we thought the Borrowers might find useful. We made beds, chairs, stools, lamps, a kitchen and even a jet ski! We were very excited to return the next day and discover tiny letters from the Borrowers hidden around the classroom, and we thoroughly enjoyed reading and sharing them together. We then began writing our own ideas about what we thought the Borrowers were like, how they might live, and how they borrow from humans!
