This week Hazel Class went outside to look for signs of winter. The children put out pots of water the night before and they were eager to see what had happened overnight.
In the morning, we found frost on the ground and noticed that many of the trees are now bare. When we checked our pots and water trays, the children were excited to discover that the water had frozen into ice. Some pieces were thin and crackly, while others were frozen solid. We even managed to see our own warm breath in the cold air!
It was a great chance for the children to observe the colder weather and talk about how the world changes as winter arrives.
