Hazel have had another busy and exciting week of learning!
In Computing, we have loved discovering algorithms! We created our very own algorithm – a precise set of steps – for our partner to follow to draw a crazy character. We quickly discovered that we needed to be super specific and include lots of detail if we wanted our partner’s drawing to look just like the one we had imagined. There were some very funny characters appearing!
In History, we continued working on our Great Fire of London timeline, exploring how the fire unfolded and putting the key events in the correct order. We are becoming quite the history detectives!
Some of us also began learning how to use the woodwork area. We learnt how to stay safe when using the saw and glue guns.
In Art, we explored chalk and oil pastels to create beautiful spirals. We experimented with both materials and thought carefully about which one we preferred and, most importantly, why.
We have also continued exploring all of our topics during Busy Time, where our imaginations have really taken off! We have created a Kapla aquarium, a woodland, The Wild and so much more. There have been plenty of busy hands, big ideas and lots of fantastic creations popping up around the classroom!
