This week in Reception, the children have had so much fun with the story Mr. Wolf’s Pancakes by Jan Fearnley. In Drawing Club, they’ve been busy drawing their own characters and lots of them have been drawing really detailed pictures of the village from the story.
The story has also inspired some wonderful imaginative play. Children have been building Mr. Wolf’s house, a shop, and a café with blocks, bringing the story to life in their play. We’ve also been exploring other traditional tales, which has led to even more creative drawing and junk modeling around the classroom.
We finished our week with a great buddy reading session with Oak Class.
