We had an eventful day in the woods this week! We spent some time thinking about the animals that call the forest their home. Right on cue, a lively squirrel treated us to an impressive performance in the tree canopy—what a delight!
We brought some toy animals into the woods and discussed what kind of habitats they might prefer. Some of the children even created habitats for them.
After gathering around the fire and enjoying some hot chocolate, we made popcorn to snack on and left some behind for the woodland animals to enjoy.
Meanwhile, other children had fun balancing on the fallen tree, swinging in the hammocks and swings, digging, and crafting fantastic mud pies!
