Elder’s Geography Trip To Savernake Forest!

This week Elder class took a trip to Savernake Forest!

In our geography lessons, we have been learning about the Amazon Rainforest – its location, what its purposes are, what we can do to help, and who lives there/uses it. With this in mind, we took a trip to explore our local forest (a little closer than The Amazon!) to look around and find out all about it!

Firstly we got prepared for our expedition with our wellies, waterproofs, compasses and maps. Shortly after, we began conducting surveys to people passing by. We asked them lots of questions about why they use the forest, and how often they go. It was very interesting!

We then set off on a long walk around the forest all together, before stopping for a very well deserved rest and lunch break.

A fun filled, wet and muddy day all round!
