Over the last week the children in Elder Class have produced some wonderful work, they’ve been so supportive of each other and we’ve had an awesome time! As ever, they have made us all massively proud! Here are a few highlights:
In art we developed our understanding of colour mixing and thought about foreground and background when painting our night time sky-scapes. We enjoyed our final forest school of this term (I hope everyone still has a fully functioning washing machine!). Our RE work has been based around the key question: Why do Christians call the day that Jesus died ‘Good Friday?’ We investigated the Easter story from different perspectives and thought about the symbolism within it. Our P.E has continued to focus on developing our ‘social cog’ and we finished P.E this week with a game of foot-rounders on the field in the sun! Such fun! We also enjoyed preparing for our Easter service and, of course, the amazing Easter egg hunt which we got to do in the forest! Wohooo!
Oh, one more highlight which we all LOVED and appreciated was a piece of work Lily shared… We asked children to draw an image to represent certain feelings linked to our R.E learning. For ‘joy’ Lily drew ‘Elder Class!’ It made all our hearts sing!
Finally, from team Elder, thank you for all your continued support and have a happy Easter! See you in a few weeks! 😊
