This week in Cherry Class, we went back to work on our wonderful charcoal pieces, inspired by the performance artist Heather Hanson. We practiced using different techniques with our hands and fingers in lots of different patterns and styles and explored the Italian term Chiaroscuro which translates to ‘light-dark’. We created a gallery and became art critics using our key words for the term. The children took their performances very seriously and created some very impressive work!
In English this week we held a conference and worked on improving our statements which we had started last week. In maths we have introduced number lines to 1000 and in PE we worked on our balance and tried to balance on one leg for 30 seconds with our eyes closed. This was not an easy challenge!
