Acorn Class: Our snowball journey

In Acorn Class, we have been making our own snowballs inspired by Andy Goldsworthy’s Midsummer Snowballs.

First we went on a winter walk in the forest and around the school to collect different natural items, we then sorted our findings into groups. We found leaves, feathers, twigs, stones, berries and some of us even found ice!

In pairs, the children chose the items they liked for their snowball and put them into a plastic cup. Next we added water and put them in the freezer. What do you think will happen next?
