We had a wonderful day celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III today in school. We worked in our house groups to complete different activities to help us think about King Charles and the history of the United Kingdom.
We learnt traditional games, made seed bombs as gifts, created fantastic crowns and flags as well as learning a fantastic ‘country dance!
A huge thank you to the Parish Council for the Coronation Coins that they have gifted to the children – a truly special momento for our whole community.
We finished our day with a suitably royal procession around the Green and were able to share our Coronation Song as well as our dance with watching parents. The brass ensemble excelled themselves with a great rendition of The National Anthem – thank you, as ever, to Janet Roe.
