A busy last few weeks of term in Oak Class

It’s been a very busy last few weeks for us all here in Oak Class. Our Sports Leaders had their training and were very proud to receive their badges and certificates.

We have been enjoying a wonderful few weeks in the forest. Highlights include burying one another in mud, forest based “cuisine”, hot chocolate, tree climbing and den building.

It has been a particularly busy final week. For Harvest, we reflected on how leaves can be a symbol of hope. While they may be falling now as the days get darker, colder and wetter; we remember and look forward to the fact that new life will blossom in Spring. We finished our term by planting our Oak tree and by enjoying a very wet Welly Walk with our buddies in Reception…

To welcome Reception to the school, we took part in a special assembly. We told them a story, Only One You, and gave them specially painted butterflies to remind them to soar and fly during their time at St Michael’s.

It has been an amazing start to life in Year 6. Everybody has shown commitment, hard-work and perseverance in spades. So to all in Oak Class, a huge well done!
