PE kit for all children on Tuesday
Could we ask that all children come into school in their PE kits on Tuesday 4th May as we have a cricket coach visiting who will be delivering taster sessions to all the children. Children are to come into school wearing their school shoes and then change into their trainers in school. As the weather is still quite changeable children may wish to bring in jogging bottoms with them.
Parents Evening
Parents Evenings will take place on Tuesday 4th May 2021 and Wednesday 5th May 2021, after school. If you have not already booked an appointment please do so through the IRIS (ParentMail) app.
People Who Help Us – Give a talk to Acorn Class
Acorn Class are learning about People Who Help Us and would love to meet some real doctors, nurses, vets, fire fighters, police officers and people from the armed forces. We also love to challenge gender stereotypes! Do let us know if you would like to meet the children via Zoom and share some of your experiences.
Request for resources and some help!
As the weather continues to improve, KS1 are using their outdoor area more and more. As such, we’d love any ongoing donations of the following….
Herbs, greenery and dead flowers for potion making.
Plant pots – small if possible
Any type of spoon – tea, table, wooden, honey!
Outdoor cushions or seat pads in good condition
We are also on the lookout for someone who might be able to make us a couple of reading teepees as per the attached photo! Please contact the office if you know of anyone who might be able to help us.
Long hair
Please can all children, both girls and boys, with long hair make sure it is tied back for school. This is not only to keep children’s hair out of their way whilst learning but for hygiene too.
School lunch reminder
If your child has a school lunch please make sure these are booked via the Lataca IRIS (ParentMail) app.
Forest School Reminder
Please remember to send children in with a bag for life or similar on a forest school day.
Reception places for September 2021
Very unusually, we have a few places left for our September 2021 intake into reception. If you know of anyone looking for a school place, please get in touch with the school office on 01672 540434.
Chicks to go to a good family home
We have chicks, 3 male and 5 female that can go to the homes of our families. If anyone wants one could they let their class teacher know using the class email.
Keyboard available
We were very kindly donated a new keyboard which we are able to use outside, which is fantastic given our whole school assemblies are on the field given the current restrictions. Thank you so much to the Griffiths family for the very generous donation. This does mean our older keyboard is available for anyone who would be able to make use of it. If you are interested, please call the school office on 01672 540434.
