The end of an epic adventure!

Sadly, the final day arrived. As the sun rose, illuminating the beautiful view we had become so fond of waking up to each day, tired children and adults awoke from their slumber to begin the dreaded packing!

Roll? Fold? Chuck it all in and hope for the best? Some people couldn’t quite decide on the best method… could they, Alex!?

After another delicious breakfast we hopped on the bus and headed for Portland to tackle our final activity – kayaking.

There are not too many photos as we all got in the water and left our cameras behind but it is safe to say that kayaking was a huge hit and many more wonderful memories were created out on the open water!

Unfortunately, the wetsuits weren’t quite as fashionable as some of us wished for!

Then we hit the water! We had the most amazing time playing games, carrying out challenges and trying to avoid falling in! Some of us were less successful at staying in the kayak than others! In the end we all finished up in the water – an awesome way to celebrate the end of our activities at PGL!

On the 15 minute journey back to base, tiredness was setting in quite quickly for some…

Then it was time for lunch…

Finally, we discussed our achievements and thanked Jordan, our brilliant PGL leader…

Before clambering on to the bus after one final group hug!!!

Year 6, thank you for being AMAZING; thank you for representing our school so well; thank you for challenging yourselves and supporting each other so brilliantly and thank you for making this THE BEST RESIDENTIAL EVER!!

Myself and my husband can’t thank Mr J and all the staff enough for taking super care of Daisy and bringing her back safely and full of stories and excitement following the ‘Epic’ trip.

Any chance we could get a disc with the pics!?
