This week we listened to the lovely story that is The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry.
We captured the rich language, especially the plentiful adjectives.
We researched global climates, found out about how annual rainfall levels vary in different regions of the world and learnt that all these skills make us geographers!
We created our own rainforests
and some were inspired to plan, make and even put their rainforest structure to the ultimate rain test!
I’m happy to report that no teddy was harmed in the testing of any rainforest structure!
We were thrilled to see this rainforest song inspired drawing too.
