Cherry Class enjoyed celebrating World Book Day!
They began the day by reading with the children in Acron Class. Cherry and Acorn enjoyed sharing their favourite books with each other. Afterwards, Cherry and Acorn enjoyed listening to a child read ‘The Book With No Pictures. Lots of giggles were had!
During the morning, they went to the annual book swap. The children loved looking through the books and picking their favourite books to go home. They even received a free World Book Day book of their choice.
In the afternoon, Cherry class shared their favourite book and some children even read to the class their favourite page. We had lots of variety and many of us were inspired to read other books.
After, the children enjoyed a session exploring using their imagination. During this sessions, they received some inspiration from Michael Morpurgo and he even read a snippet of his World Book Day book.
