Weekly Post – 31st January 2025

St Michael’s Weekly Post

31st January 2025

We wished Rowan and Oak good luck today as they headed off to Birmingham for the Young Voices concert! We can’t wait to hear all about it upon their return.

Birch have been learning about balance and shape in their PE lesson this week, using the wall bars, ropes and other bits of apparatus, challenging themselves and encouraging each other which was great to see.

Our artistic Acorns have demonstrated huge amounts of creativity, design and collaboration this week, building an incredible structure on the carpet using wooden blocks, loose parts and props from their classroom. They have added to it each day and it has been a joy to see continuous provision and team work at its very best!

No Cherry Forest School next week
Please note there will be no forest school for Cherry class next week. This is due to our Thinking Music Project taking place in school on Friday. This is the first of two sessions (half of the class will attend each session) run by Bristol University students and it is an amazing day. They will spend time making, performing as well as writing music and we can’t wait to hear what they come up with!

Music Concert

There will be a music concert on Monday 10th February. This will be a chance for Cherry class to showcase their cornet skills and for other children who have individual music lessons in school to show you what they have been learning. The concert will take place at St Michael’s Church at 2pm.

Story: Tennis player, Emma Raducanu, has revealed she would like to meet fellow young sports star, darts champion, Luke Littler, following his recent World Championship win.
Question: Do you need to feel pressure to achieve great things?
