St.Michael’s School Values Day

Our last day of term was all about choosing values to best represent our school, and what a thought-provoking and reflective day it was.

Year 6 began the day leading an assembly, delivering a powerful story about Rosa Parks to explain how sometimes in our world, values are not shown to our fellow human beings…

Year 6 also chose some messages from a book called ‘Dreams of Freedom’ to share with everyone…

After the assembly, all classes headed back to their rooms to discuss the importance of values in our school, community and world…

Next, we all made decisions about the values which are close to our hearts – it was such a tricky task to prioritise and order them!

All children, volunteers and staff were involved in the decision making and at home time, parents and carers were also asked to select values important to them…

Our school prides itself on creating and promoting life-long learners who are ready to go out in to the world with the moral and spiritual values to have a positive impact on the planet – today reminded us just how special, thoughtful and reflective all our children are! Our future is in good hands! Well done everyone!
