St Michael’s Remembers

After a wonderful week of remembrance activities all round school, the whole school took to The Green for a short service lead by Sue. We were joined by parents and other members of the village community as we shared some of the wonderful work we had produced to help us remember those past and present who gave their lives for us.

After a moment of silence and the final post, the KS2 children moved on to the pond where they lay 70 crosses each with the name of a man from Aldbourne who fought in The Great War.

It was a beautifully poignant end to a special week of remembrance.
