A week of thoughtful reflection in Year 6.

Having completed our work reflecting on some current world issues using the Bob Dylan song ‘a hard rain’s a-gonna fall…’ we moved on to thinking about the centenary of the end of World War One…

We started off by visiting the poppy display out on the green and we began to reflect on what they symbolise…

Back in class we took inspiration from Danny Boyle’s Pages of the Sea. We spent time researching some of the heroes from World War One, producing diary entries based on the emotions people felt at the start of the war before creating art work reflecting on the realities of being a soldier during wartime.
