And so we woke to a chilly November morning, rising wearily to begin our final day. Well done to all of the girls and Jake who were particularly hard work to wake up this morning!
We headed for a final delicious breakfast where we filled up on multiple bowls of cereal, hot chocolate (if ever there’s a shortage, we’re probably to blame…) and toast.
Following breakfast, we completed our packing, stripped our beds and Mr Pavey carried out the final inspections. Tidy rooms and organised packing all round – well done, Year 5!
Today, we tackled a variety of challenges – high ropes, the climbing wall and problem solving tasks. Lots of children were incredibly nervous but showed incredible perseverance in climbing as high as possible. Despite a few tears, it was amazing to see everybody trying to overcomes these challenges again and again and again! One group even refused to leave their problem solving tasks when tempted by lunch…
Souvenirs bought and hunger quenched, it was time to depart for the journey home. It’s been an absolute pleasure to take Year 5 to Braeside this week, we hope you cherish the memories and experiences that you have had this week – well done to you all!
