Rowan Class had a brilliant time in the forest this week. As we headed up to the forest, we played a fun game relying on our senses of touch and hearing… In the forest we enjoyed trying to coax our resident robin into our log circle before heading off to whittle butter knives, tree climb, build shelters, practise our fire-lighting skills, create clay sculptures or, in some cases, to direct and perform a forest-themed play! We even found a rather sleepy (ashy, we think!) mining bee! We also enjoyed hot chocolate and caramelised apples before finishing our session with a folk tale about a robin and a yew tree!
