Rowan Class: A Hike To The Farm!

Rowan Class had an exciting start back this term with a hike to Liddington Warren Farm. On the walk we were able to tread some of the landscapes we have been studying in geography, walking amongst the contours we looked at on local OS maps and taking in the beautiful scenery. We had a picnic lunch at Four Barrows then continued to walk along the ridge before arriving at the farm. During our tour around the farm, Farmer Alex told us all about the crops growing in his fields and the process of turning seeds into produce – it was super-fascinating. We also got to look at some of the machinery that is used on the farm and we found out about the amazing lawnmowers used to keep the grass short – sheep!
