Year 5 enjoyed a very special day building and coding our very own robots with the amazing PrepareRobo team.
In the morning, we built fighting robots. Once the robots were built, we learnt to use a coding program to write the algorithms that would make sure our robots were successful once battle commenced.
The arena was prepared and excited spectators looked on as our robots took to the battlefield. There were some intense one-on-one combats before a final chaotic all v all to finish.
After lunch, we tried something a little different: walking robots. These were much trickier to build but with a little perseverance and resilience, we took our walking robots to the hall to test their endurance. Lots of races took place and, with a little surgery, our robots could all make it across the hall.
