A mysterious suitcase was found in our classroom this week and we had a great time exploring its contents and predicting. This led us to find out about our new book we are studying: The Arrival by Shaun Tan. We’ve analysed images, particularly focusing on visual metaphors, we unpicked interesting vocabulary and applied our knowledge of modal verbs during our first English lessons this week.
