The children have loved our History learning about schools in the past this week. We have been thinking about what life was like in a 1900s classroom, which inspired the children to create their own (very strict!) classrooms, along with quills and ink. They also practiced writing in chalk on slates and played some old fashioned playground games, as well as designing their ‘perfect’ classroom! Our learning was topped off by a fantastic trip to the Heritage Centre, who very kindly opened just for us, and who told the children all about St Michael’s in the past. Such fun!
