We had such a lovely day outdoors, soaking up the sunshine and feeling the autumn breeze!
We kicked things off with a game of Pooh Feathers, seeing whose feather could travel the furthest on the wind—it was so much fun watching them float and drift. Once we headed into the woods, the children tried their hands at peeling bark from sticks using butter knives (perfect for little hands!). They loved discovering the smell and smooth feel of the peeled wood.
Of course, the flint and steel were a big hit, and nothing beats warming up with a well-deserved hot chocolate afterwards. Some children dug happily for worms, others relaxed in the hammocks, and a few went on the hunt for shiny conkers.
All in all, a simple but magical day exploring, playing, and enjoying nature together ! (photos taken by the children!!)
