On Monday we celebrated harvest in Acorn Class. We started the day with a lovely Zoom visit from Rev Sue Rodd who reminded us what a wonderful world God created with her own retelling of the Creation Story. She then introduced Messy Church in school where we had lots of different activities to remember the story. We created dark places and went inside with glow sticks to show the light. We used phosphorescent paint to create glow in the dark stars. We made rivers using the marble run, collages with beans and lentils and we even made our own bread. Finally we made lots of different flying things, swimming things, crawling things and running things using paper plates, pipe cleaners, paint and card. The whole school have been learning a Harvest song about our beautiful world and we ended our day with this. It was a great way to finish our Harvest Messy Church day.
