This term in RE we have been studying Hinduism. We have been learning about Diwali, the festival of light and also explored the story of Rama and Sita. We learned that Hindus create beautiful Rangoli patterns to welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and good fortune as part of the festival of Diwali.
This week we had a go at designing our own Rangoli patterns! We listened to some traditional Hindi music as we got creative and once we had finished, we had the chance to look around the classroom to admire everyone’s colourful work!
