In Elder, we started our new History theme today all about the Victorians. The children started by thinking back to their time in KS1 and tried to remember some of their previous learning. It was amazing how much they could recall about Brunel, Mary Anning, The Victorians at the seaside and even the kinds of things they used to wear.
We then spent some time exploring the massive timeline on the playground so that we could understand where abouts in history The Victorians came. We also did some amazing research and found out some incredible facts about Queen Victoria. Did you know that she had 42 grandchildren? And…that she married her cousin????
Well done Elder for a cracking afternoon and a superb first week.
