This week Cherry Class have been exploring charcoal in art. We learned how to make marks with the charcoal using our hands and fingers in lots of different patterns and styles and practised using a rubber to help create different effects (and got very messy in the process!). We also explored the Italian term Chiaroscuro which translates to ‘light-dark’ and helps to create atmosphere or mood. Take a look at some of our art work below!
