Happy World Book Day everyone! We had the most amazing morning immersed in all things books today! In class we held a book tasting session where we moved around tables sampling LOTS of different books. Children could make notes on their tasting plate about books they really liked the look of and the classroom was full of exciting ‘book blabber!’ After this, we headed to the hall for the St. Michael’s Book Swap – it’s been a few years since we’ve done this and it was so good to have it back again! After receiving books and a book voucher to take home, we then spent time listening to each other talk about our favourite books! Hopefully children have come home with some new titles on their ‘to read list’ and hopefully they’ll tell you all about the amazing books they’d like to read next! : )
