The whole school was able to gather on a brisk Monday m0rning to share an assembly about our new value: service. We all learnt that service means to do something for those around us or to help those in need. Mrs Arkwright very kindly showed service by giving each class a gift of some new books which we have all begun to enjoy reading back in class! To learn about service even more, several Year 6 children acted out a small story about a girl giving biscuits bought with her own money to those around her, expecting nothing in return – a real act of kindness! It was a very special moment to be able to spend time together and to even sing one or two songs that we’ve all missed sharing over the last year.
