Apple Crumble in Birch Class

Birch Class have been busy today beginning our apple crumble for DT.   We began by revisiting our basic skills of peeling and chopping – with the added complication of a core to remove too! We will then make a traditional recipe before adding some variations to see which we prefer.  Today we smelled cloves, cinnamon and ground ginger to see if we wanted to add any of these spices – funnily enough the cloves didn’t get many votes!!  Tomorrow we will think of other variations we could add….
