Aliens, acrobatics and autumn fun in Acorn Class

This week we have been enjoying Here Come the Aliens by Colin McNaughton and we have learned a new song about the planets in our Solar System. The children have been making aliens out of junk modelling and we have started some papier mache planets.

In PE the children have been practising their agility, balance and coordination by thinking of different ways to travel, landing correctly after jumping, thinking of interesting ways to balance. All that climbing is fantastic for developing strong shoulders which help us with our handwriting.

In the forest this week the children made autumn crowns. Lots of happy, smiley faces as they enjoy the crisp autumn air.
