What a wonderful week we’ve had back in Acorn Class, full of creativity, discovery, and special visitors!
We began the week exploring art through printmaking. The children learnt how to create their very own print rollers using string and ink. They experimented with rolling their designs to make repeating patterns.
Our learning about amazing people in our community continued with a special visit from Lara, an osteopath. Lara showed us how she helps people feel better by checking how their bodies move. She led us through some simple exercises to see how our bodies were working and we’re happy to report we’re all in tip-top shape! Lara also brought along some of her tools for the us to look at and hold, which sparked lots of great questions.
Later in the week, we caught up with Oak Class for a lovely buddy reading session. It was such a joy to see the children sharing stories together.
And to end the week, we explored the wildlife in the churchyard with Emily and Flo. We were very lucky to take a close look at a variety of moths before setting them free, and we checked the food tunnels to see if any hedgehogs had visited – and they had!
