This week we have continued our learning about People Who Help Us. Lara came to talk to us about being an osteopath and we talked about the parts of the body we knew and had the chance to examine the life-sized skeleton. Lara checked our bodies by giving us all some exercises to do. Luckily we are all working properly! We looked at vets and what they do to help our pets. The children worked with Miss Lipscombe to create their own uniforms for people who help us. We had fire uniforms, police, lifeguards, army, gardeners, photographers – the children had a lot of ideas! In the forest the children lit a fire and boiled their own water for hot chocolate. In Busy Time, when the children can select their own activities, we have seen the children rise to our ‘challenges’ and they are now creating more and more complex works of art: models, small world, junk modelling, clay, sand worlds and more!
