We have been artists and designers in Hazel Class this week. In DT we have been exploring a range of books with moving parts and have also learnt about levers and sliders. We took this learning into our busy time and experimented with making our own slider cards, which were brilliant. We’ve had stars shooting across the sky, camels crossing the desert, Santa in his sleigh and much more. We’ve also been learning about a new backwards and forwards drawing technique, which we used when sketching some animals in our sketchbooks. It really helps with your hand eye co-ordination and observation skills and it was amazing to see the focus the children applied to this new challenge.
