This week our theme is rainforests. Year 5 are exploring ‘The Great Kapok Tree’, written by Lynne Cherry.
We are looking at the interesting vocabulary and adjectives used. The children drew a picture of a tree and surrounded it with the words they had found.
Today they added various questions to their picture, asked from the animal’s point of view.
The sports challenges have been amazing! Its lovely to see the children getting their parents involved. We have also seen some of the feline & canine members of the family also doing their part. ‘Bali’ the cat has been helping in English.
