On Thursday afternoon, a very hot afternoon, Year 4 visited the archeological dig in Aldbourne. It was a very busy site as the BBC were filming.
Liz Dymond meet them and gave a great introductory talk. They were fascinated to learn about the American GI’s and their camp.
Year 4 asked many good questions.
They watched the archeologists dig up the soil and expose a lightening rod. They saw a coin that had been shot through by a bullet and a plastic wrapper over 50 years old.
