This week in Year 3 we have been thinking about how Jews show their special relationship with God. We found out that Jewish families have a special box next to their front door which contains a special prayer called The Shema. It shows that they love God and wish God’s blessing upon everyone.
We had a go at making our own Mezuzahs and wrote a special scroll to go inside which described our special hopes for our families in the future.
The children wrote some really special thinks…
‘I hope that all my family will safe and happy in the future.’
‘ I hope that everyone looks after the world so that my family in the future will be able to see how special it is.’
‘I hope that my dad’s back will get better so that he can play with us and make us happy.’
