Over the past few weeks, a small group of children have been enjoying their Wednesday Forest School sessions and what an adventure it has been!
The children have been busy building fantastic dens, metal detecting, learning how to safely use tools for whittling and sawing and creating wonderful little clay animals. They have also been developing their fire lighting skills and putting them to good use by cooking delicious pancakes over the fire!
Alongside this, the children have explored the natural environment by making habitats for small animals and discovering the wildlife around them. One of the highlights was finding a slow worm, which caused great excitement among the group!
It has been wonderful to see the children working together, building confidence, and developing new skills while enjoying the outdoors.
