We had a great start to our term in the woods. The sun shone and we spent time looking for signs of spring – daffodils and snowdrops, buds and birds song.
The children spent a great deal of time playing on the fallen tree, exploring the different parts to climb, swing, dig under and study the root system. The coffee shop was busy with delicious coffee and cake, others relaxed in the hammock. Children enjoyed using the butter knives to peel bark off sticks, mastering the skill ready to move onto sharper knives.
