Sports News

We have had a busy term.

Our Sports Leaders have been presented with their official badges and have spent a morning considering what makes a great Sports leader, and preparing to run activities for the children in our school.   They are all now  ready to deliver their first multi-sports festival to Year 2.

Some of our Year 3 and 4 pupils travelled over to Dauntsey’s school  to represent us at the Mid Wiltshire Primary School Cross country Competition.  The girls came third and the boys came first!

Finally some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils entered the Football Festival at Avon Valley College, with one team coming ninth and the other one third.

Whilst it is wonderful to have success in these events I am most impressed  by the positive attitude and exemplary sportsmanship shown by all the children who represent our school.  Only last week the organisers of the football festival  wrote to congratulate the school on the positive way our children behave and take part in the competitions.  They really do show all of the school Games values; determination, honesty, passion, self belief teamwork and respect.  Well done to everyone who has represented our school this term.
