Over the last 2 weeks we have been getting stuck into our learning about mountains… We began by learning about how height is shown on maps. We learnt about OS maps, topography and contour lines and then built our own hills to show what we had learnt. Today we really enjoyed creating scale-drawings to show how big Mount Everest is compared to some other well-known landmarks… an awesome combination of geography knowledge, maths skills and technical drawing!
