We had an awesome time putting our skills to the test at the dodgeball tournament this week. It was brilliant to see children working as a team – talking tactics in group huddles, supporting and encouraging one an other and celebrating each other’s successes. There were so many awesome individual moments – great catching, planned tactics, fantastic and accurate throwing and agile dodging; we were super-proud of everyone! One of our teams went through the whole competition winning every game they played and were crowned overall winners at the end but more importantly, it was so pleasing to see everyone smiling and shaking hands with their opponents and thanking the referees after each game. We had lunch at the Leisure Centre cafe afterwards and some members of the public even got in touch with our school to say how polite and well behaved Oak Class were! A great day all-round!
