We had our second fire in the forest this week! Some children had a go at fire lighting by striking a flint and steel together, it’s very tricky but we persevered and kept on trying and managed a few sparks! Others decorated the trees with yarn and experimented with clay and natural items. A lot of us had a fun time down the mudslide before enjoying a hot chocolate and biscuit!
We had an exciting delivery of Kit Camp in Acorn Class this week, which the children have used to build some amazing structures in their play.
We’ve really started to challenge ourselves in our busy time to make cardboard creations. We now know it’s important to cut the junk modelling to help us change it into something different. Our yoghurt pots, cereal boxes and cardboard tubes have been turned into binoculars, vehicles and much more!
