Festive Fun Run and Christmas Fair

Wow! What a great week, we started off with wreath making (incidentally this sold out in record time and was a wonderful evening!), followed by the Festive Fun Run and the Christmas Fair. A lot of volunteers put in a lot of hard work; it all paid off as the events were awesome, the fundraising spectacular and they were all such fun!

Our local Olympian, Shelley Rudman came to open the track. She was the Bobsleigh world champion and won a silver medal at the winter Olympics so really knows how important fitness is. She was thrilled to come and cut the ribbon to ceremonially open the running track and do our warm up for us.  Thank you to everyone who entered the Festive Fun Run – we had 186 of you participate on the day which was wonderful considering the weather!  Everyone looked like they enjoyed their gingerbread medals – we hope they didn’t dissolve in the rain that half the race got caught in. You all looked amazing in your Festive Fancy Dress and we can’t wait to see you again at the Fun Run in the summer..!
