Today we had the privilege of Paula from Energy Sparks hosting an assembly all about reducing our energy and gas usage.
The children explored the idea how the more electricity/gas we are using we are ‘warming’ up the planet.
Then, Paula held a workshop for Year 3 and the school council. The children first explored what items in their homes used the most electricity. Then, they explored ways they could reduce their electricity/gas usage at home. For example, turning the heating down a degree or two.
The children also looked at the schools electricity usage. From this the school council have many more ideas to make a difference so watch this space…
